Me, Me, Wonderful Me

I'm Thaddeus Spae, a musician, entertainer, composer, songsmith, audio engineer, graphic designer, writer and fixit guy. I live with way too many musical instruments in a little house with a big yard in Seattle Washington, where it rains all the time. Don't move here. For 30 years I performed in the duo Amber Tide with my wife, Sandahbeth Spae, who recently passed.

I currently perform solo and with several bands, compose songs and music for stage, screen and video games and operate Bard's Cathedral, a small-but-doughty recording studio, record label and graphic design/ cd duplication service. I also do light home repair as The Gentleman Handyman. You can find out more about my music stuff at my main website, tspae.com.

In my ominously unprofitable free time I practice, play with websites, cartoon, program, take long walks, listen to music, read, meditate, stare at television and scratch my ass. I have a very itchy ass.

The Thaddeus Gazette, a somewhat peculiar amalgamation of online creative ingredients, began as a weekly email to friends and other strangers in 1996 and refused to leave. I gave it up forever in 2000, only to bring it back in 2002 as a website. It's not a blog. Blogs are evil.

I've had all kinds of peculiar micro-successes in the glorious underbellies of art and show biz, most of them well past over and done by now but some persisting. I'm torn between wondering what I'm going to be when I grow up and suspecting that I've already retired and just don't know it yet.

That's about it.

Note to Homeland Security: I'm not the droid you're looking for. I'm free to go.
